We are at an inflection point in our quest for better data, with an opportunity to scale up the use of timely data for decision making in governments, UN agencies, civil society, private sector partners and donors. The ‘Real-time Data for the SDGs’ initiative aims to increase the use of robust methods and tools that improve the timeliness, availability, and quality of SDG data through collaboration and partnership, technical and capacity support, and information sharing. To achieve this, we are building collaborations with governments, civil society, the private sector and academia, supported by development partners and a strong advocacy and communications drive. A closed, roundtable meeting will be hosted on the sidelines of the HLPF to discuss this initiative, get feedback and advice, and explore possibilities for partnership and collaboration.
